A Child’s Room

Project Overview:

This playroom originally shared by two sisters had to be turned into a bedroom for the older sibling. In a year when “Barbie,” the movie, was on everyone’s mind, this room is executed in blush pink and white, where textured polka dots litter the rug and the bedspread, and golden-yellow gleams from the artwork, the wall décor pieces, and the brass metal of the lamp and bed hardware. The tight space had to allow for a trundle bed to open on one side of the twin bed. So, to utilize the space while keeping it flexible, two upholstered storage ottomans are serving as a reading bench when not moved to open room for the trundle.
